Today's newspaper (The Hindu) carries an article which I am reproducing below. Wife of a Goa Minister made certain revelations last day. The Minister now have endorsed her views.
That's about wearing the Saree. Saree and kumkum , she said, are safe against sexual harassments.
Must be right !
But I am sure about one fact. "Wear Onnara , Avoid Rape".
You may wonder how Onnara can avoid a rape. If you have read some of my posts earlier in this blog regarding the advantages of wearing Onnara, you would understand that.
The modern undergarments - panties - are so thin and soft, it just cannot guard / protect the private parts properly. It easily gives way for any intentional act, and so cannot deter a criminal .
But, an Onnara, worn properly, would block the criminal from doing the act. Onnara acts as a fairly strong shield around the private parts . It takes much effort to open up , without her consent. That's how Onnara becomes an Anti-rape undergarment .

It is good that you have started posting your interesting thoughts on ONNARA! A few more thoughts here ...
Wear Onnara and prevent rape ? How's it possible ? Onnara also can be easily pulled out by a rapist.
Farting, yes. To some extent can be prevented by the tight covering around the anus.
Again, how can you make a Malaysian women wear Onnara while we are not able to do so even with our own malayalee Nair/Nambuthiry girls ? All of them are so wedded to pantese which are available readymade so easily. Of course, still you see Dhotis everywhere, but not Onnara. I read recently that Ramraj Dhotis have come out with readymade Dotis for men with velcro and pockets. May be somebody has to design a modern, readymade ONNARA. That's the only hope...
