Onnara : How tight ?

Onnara :  How tight should the thaar be ?   The snap below tells you how it should be.  The knot at the end ensures tightness and  prevents auto-removal. So you can be sure your thaar is in place, with adequate tightness.  Ensures comfort and avoids need for frequent tightening.

But make sure you wear the thaar at waist level, and not too low. If its low, the thaar is likely to get loosened. So be cautious !!

Is this front side or back as I see the navel here? I was thinking that Onnara is tucked at the back side. It is good that you have included the traditional inner wear also here along with the modern ones. Today's youth are ready to experiment anything. But they need more knowledge about these old ones...

We are settled in UAE and my husband like me to wear onnara at home. I am also interested as my mother and other relative elder ladies wearing onnara. But I am confused how to wear it. We brought 2 onnaramundu on our last vacation. But when I wear it, it is not tight and I cant wear it with churidar pant.
Can you please post some sketches to show how to wear onnara and also prefer description in Malayalam.
